The Hungarian parliament recently passed an amendment banning Budapest Pride. The amendment was proposed on a Monday and adopted by the following Tuesday. Opposition politicians, event organizers, and various non-governmental organizations vehemently opposed the amendment, arguing that it deprives people of their rights. A protest was organized just a few hours after its passage to express dissent against the decision.
